PeterStar Data Storage and Processing Center

We offer services of the Information Processing, Storage and Distribution Centers (Datacenters) within the scope of ZAO Synterra’s 40x40 program on establishing a nation-wide network of forty datacenters located in large cities of all seven Federal Okrugs of Russia.

The project is oriented towards a wide circle of clients feeling a need for IT infrastructure outsourcing on a national scale: telecom carriers, corporate federal and “network” customers, content and application developers, IP TV carriers and television broadcasters, state structures responsible for implementing projects in the field of ICT.

Each Datacenter meets the disaster recovery and Customer business continuity requirements and incorporates:

  • Uninterruptible power supply system;
  • Climate control and air conditioning system;
  • Smoke control and gas fire fighting system;
  • Premises guarding and unauthorized access protection system, including video supervision system;
  • Premises that can be equipped for Customer’s spare offices;
  • Fourfold-reserve communications system enabling all communication services with a high level of reliability;
  • 24x7 Customer Support system.

Infrastructure of each Datacenter corresponds at the minimum to the third class of service availability (pursuant to American developers’ classifier TIA/EIA-942 - Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers) that is characterized by the following key indices:

  • Datacenter availability - 99,982%;
  • N+1 redundant scheme;
  • Number of power lead-ins to Datacenter – 2 (1 primary and 1 redundant);
  • Rated capacity - 1,000 to 1,500 Watt/sq. m.

All Datacenters provide services on collocating Customer’s equipment – both servers and racks, as well as rendering all communication services in accordance with the valid licenses.

Datacenter services give an opportunity to:

  • Locate a company’s IT node (both main and redundant) without creating their own engineering infrastructure, as well as connecting it with their partners’ branches and offices;
  • Develop a communication node and obtain all necessary interconnect services;
  • Quickly launch a multiservice corporate network over the entire RF territory and connect it to networks in Russia and abroad;
  • Install a content provider’s node, arrange gateways to local content users;
  • Obtain not only quality broadband Internet access with antivirus and antispam protection, but also all communication services at one site;
  • Improve reliability of the existing IT node by applying a geographically distributed redundant system. It’s also possible to bring IT nodes to carriers’ foreign sites.
