PeterStar Integrating the Vologda and Kaliningrad Branches of the Northwest Customs Administration into the Department’s Federal Network

19.01.2010

PeterStar, a leader of the market of telecommunication services in the Northwest Region, being part of the Synterra Group of Companies, has won the tender on provision of communication services to the Northwest Customs Administration.

Within the scope of the public contract, PeterStar will provide backbone channels to connect the Vologda and Kaliningrad branches of the Northwest Customs Administration to the national-wide departmental telecommunication network of the Federal Customs Service (FCS).

This project represents the continued cooperation between Peterstar and the Northwest Customs Administration that has been successfully lasting for almost 10 years. In this way, last November the company won a similar tender on integration of the FCS branches in Vyborg and Svetogorsk into the departmental network.

It will be recalled that the Vologda and Kaliningrad Oblasts are the territories of ZAO PeterStar presence. The affiliate in Kaliningrad was launched in 2005, and that in Vologda – in 2008. The both affiliates render telephone communication, data and Internet access services to regional telecom carriers, commercial and state structures.
