15/08/2005   PeterStar Increasing Number of Wi-Fi Zones and Expanding Its Wi-Fi Card Sales System

PeterStar Opened New Wi-Fi Hotspot at Tavricheskaya Hotel.

Now guests of the Hotel are able to enter the Internet directly from their hotel rooms. The Wi-Fi network in the Hotel covers about 40 rooms, including suites. In additions, the Hotel’s office is equipped with separate access to the Internet. The Internet access speed makes approx. 10 Mbps. To launch this hotspot the Ciscî Systems equipment was used, providing reliability and quality work in the Internet. The Tavricheskaya Hotel has been PeterStar’s customer for ten years. Inclusion of the Hotel in a long-term program of the company on arranging public Internet Wi-Fi hotspots has become a continuation of the mutually beneficial cooperation.

At present the PeterStar Wi-Fi zones include, in addition to 8 large hotels of the city, air terminals, service centers, cafes, leisure centers, as well as the Yubileiny Spots Complex. The Wi-Fi zones at the airports Pulkovo-1 and Pulkovo-2 are given special attention, where city and hotel guests can take advantage of Internet access at any point of the airport complex.

To get Wi-Fi access a Wi-Fi card is required. Such cards are available within the PeterStar Wi-Fi zones which number exceeds 20 addresses. And from August 1 it will be possible to buy Wi-Fi cards not only at the hotspots but also in all stores of the “Computer Center Key” trading network.
